Gorgeous work. I love the lighting and contrast. Beautiful form and exquisite subtle colors.

I like the soft light you've used to transform a mundane event into something beautiful :)

Very nice. Your ability to compose with light is outstanding! It's a lot darker than the other Big Day. Is that just the photo that makes it dark? I like the composition. Good balance and nothing leads you away from the central figure. The girl's eyes look really dark. Is that just the photo again?

also, i think the previous photo was taken before the last layer of background went on, which would have made it darker too.

yes, it's the photo. the image i used before was lighter because of glare from the light source. i thought this was better, but perhaps it isn't... ummm, i have been making a print shop, but to get good enough quality images i have to scan 'real' photos (not ones from my crappy digital camera) to get he dpi and resolution needed. And to get a print accepted it has to be like the deviation submitted therefore i had to update this from the scan. ahhh well might re-photograph it again at some point.

I feel your pain. Getting a good quality pic of a painting is really hard. Looking forward to seeing the final product.
